2025 Acura RDX: Minimal Changes, Maximum Impact
by AutoExpert | 7 August, 2024
Acura has just unveiled the 2025 RDX, and while it’s new, the changes are minimal. Acura has redesigned the Diamond Pentagon grille's center piece with a cross-hatch pattern, reducing the overall frame size while keeping the existing form of the grille.
The base 2025 Acura RDX now comes with black 19-inch wheels and sleek gloss black exterior trim, while the luxurious Advance option adds body-color lower trim and machine-finished rims.
Choose the A-Spec for a more performance-oriented ride with additional black accents and shark gray or black 10-spoke, 20-inch wheels (when combined with the Advance package, of course). Solar Silver, Canyon River Blue, and Urban Gray Pearl are the three new paint colors released by Acura. Instead of gutting the place and beginning over, the interior renovations concentrate on making little tweaks to the details.
Look closer, and you'll see the new 2025 Acura RDX has a redesigned center console with larger cupholders and a simpler way to reach the wireless phone charger. When the driver activates Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, the 10.2-inch tablet-style entertainment screen also receives a widescreen display mode. Full leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and extra lighting on the front and rear speaker cones set beneath acid-etched grilles are some of the perks that Acura offers on the Advance or A-Spec with the Advance Package.
The engine remains unchanged: a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four. This engine is mated to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission. It can direct as much as 70% of its torque to the rear axle, with 100% going to the outside rear wheel for maximum agility.
