2022 Volvo S60 Black Edition Production Is Limited To Just 450 Units

Volvo has now added a new Black Edition to the S60 sedan's list of possible options. With the addition of blackened design components, Volvo S60 follows in the footsteps of Black Edition variants. It is restricted to 450 units for 2022 and is offered for the mild-hybrid S60 Momentum and R-Design grades, as well as the plug-in hybrid S60 Recharge.
It comes with high-gloss black 19-inch wheels and basic metallic paint. Also, it has a high-gloss black grille with a Volvo logo and grille slash, and also high-gloss exterior trim that sets it apart from other Volvo S60 versions. All of the badging on the rear, including the model name, the Volvo wordmark, and the powertrain designation, is black, and the tailpipes are darker.
Only two colors are available for the S60 Black Edition. The S60 Black Edition can be dressed in Onyx Black Metallic color for those who like a completely black style, or Crystal White Metallic color for those who prefer brightness.
The S60 Black Edition was produced exclusively for the US market and developed at Volvo's US design office in California. It was built at Volvo's Ridgeville, South Carolina facility. Volvo Cars USA's head of design Eric Beak spearheaded the design, which was produced and authorized in record time, with the first evaluation starting just 13 months ago.
As a result, Volvo S60 will be available at certain dealers this spring, and buyers interested in the Black Edition may approach their dealers for availability. Depending on the specification, prices start at below $40,000.
