Zarroq Motors is a new company created in UAE which published a few renders of a car designed for dune racing called Sand Racer. The buggy is labeled as the first performance vehicle created exclusively for the desert.
According to Zarooq founder, Mohammed al-Qadi, the Sand Racer is filling a niche with high demand on the market. The alternatives for desert racing are the wheels that are too big, or the open body buggies that are not safe nor practical and the ATVs which are not even made for racing.

The Sand Racer looks sporty and rigid, due to stylish A-pillars, high front, pronounced wheel arches, and the roofline that slopes down the back. It has lots of ground clearance and around 17 inches of suspension for the toughest situations.
The company hasn't published any inside picture but they said they are coming soon and added that it will definitely have air conditioning.
The street-legal buggy is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that can produce between 300 and 500 hp and has a weight of 2,100 pounds.
The price for the vehicle of the standard option starts at about $80,000 and can jump up to $160,000 if you add more options, including a more powerful engine. Delivery of the Sand Racer should be starting sometime in 2016.
