Toyota has officially announced that they are developing a new, bigger, three-row SUV named the Grand Highlander. They said the new car will be shown off at the 2023 Chicago Auto Show, which opens on February 8.
According to Toyota, the new 2024 Grand Highlander will help grow the brand's SUV lineup, which includes the first Highlander from 2001. The three-row SUV that will be the ideal complement to Toyota's portfolio and would presumably sit between the base Highlander and the larger, body-on-frame Sequoia.
The displayed model is a Platinum trim-level vehicle with a Hybrid Max hybrid drivetrain. This moniker has just been applied to the top-of-the-line Crown Platinum, which has a hybrid drivetrain with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a front-mounted electric motor. The combined output of the engine is 340 horsepower.
On February 8th, Toyota will reveal the final details of the all-new Grand Highlander.
