Kimera EVO37, Lancia That Isn't A Lancia, Makes Its Prototype Debut at Goodwood

The international debut of Kimera Automobili's new EVO37 will take place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car, which will be shown in prototype form, is based on Lancia 037 and is characterized as a genuine development, inspired by the restomod movement.
EVO37 is based on Lancia Beta Montecarlo, although it has a "fully redesigned and upgraded" chassis and modern suspension with Öhlins adjustable shock absorbers, much like the original. The model also comes with 18- and 19-inch wheels, as well as a powerful Brembo braking system.
While the outside is unmistakably retro, the body is made of carbon fiber and has been lightly updated to improve “line cleanliness” as well as “structural/functional solidity and perceived quality.” LED lighting units and carbon fiber components are also included in the vehicle.
Kimera hasn't provided interior photos, but the model will be a two-seater with leather and Alcantara upholstery and carbon-fiber trim, according to prior reports. Analog gauges, a genuine handbrake, and four-point seat belts are all included.
The engine will be a turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder with a displacement of either 2- or 2.15 liters, according to the company's contradictory information. It was supposed to make 498 hp (371 kW / 505 PS) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque, but according to the newest info, the output has been reduced to 493 hp (468 kW / 500 PS).
Maybe, we'll get some definite figures at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, but if not, they'll be disclosed ahead of September deliveries. In terms of the latter, Kimera claims that 20 of the 37 units have already been reserved.
