The BMW X3, which is built in Spartanburg, is among the brand's best-selling vehicles in the United States. It's just the same situation in Australia, where sales of the premium SUV are likewise at an all-time high. As a result, BMW Australia has created a limited-edition version of the popular Mercedes GLC competitor and its coupe brother, the X4.
Both models, designated the Frozen Edition, have distinctive features that distinguish them from other models, such as the company's stunning Individual Frozen Deep Grey gloss paint and red M Sport brakes for a splash of color.
Carbon fiber side mirror caps are standard on both models, and the X4 also gets a back trunk spoiler made of lightweight material. M Shadow Line kidney grilles in black paint round off the exteriors of both SUVs.
The Frozen Edition, which is only available on the sporty M40i variants, adds a slew of inside upgrades. The X3 gets BMW's black Vernasca leather with red stitching for the first time, as well as a Sensatec-trimmed instrument panel with new red stitching. Furthermore, the carbon fiber touch has been extended to the inside, with the dash, center console, and door trim all sporting the material.
Only 37 units will be accessible to the general public in Australia. BMW X3 and X4 M40i Frozen Edition will cost AU$142,900 (about $105,400) and AU$152,900 (approximately $112,800) respectively. The X3 and X4 M40i share the same turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine, which produces 382 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque.
