Tesla offers you a Radio Upgrade for $500
by AutoExpert | 2 November, 2020
Radio has been the best car-entertainment since 1920. A hundred years later, AM, FM, audiobooks it’s still a must-have for the ride.
Tesla is no exception though they managed to upgrade their MCU1 infotainment system with a rather expensive MCU2 for at least $2500 for Model S and Model X.
The AM, FM, and Sirius XM upgrade that costs no more than $500 is optional, will be available for the S and X models in the fourth quarter of 2020. The trick is that you’ll still end up spending the total amount of $3000 for the amplitude modulation and frequency modulation available in different parts of the world.
Though it’s an optional upgrade the real question remains the same: why were they disabled in the first place?
