The story happened in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, where several teenagers illegally broke into a private building and realized that they actually found a depot full of classic cars.
Turns out this was a private museum hiding under layers of dust amazing classic cars produced between 1920 and 1970. The cars were accompanied by an impressive collection of books about cars, car parts, a retro-style café, and a unique collection of fuel pumps.
The collection includes Ford Model T, Citroen DS, Chevrolet Corvair and Styleline, Fiat 124 Sport Coupe, Simca 8, Renault Dauphine, Morris Oxford, and Hudson Hornet. Another room in the museum hosted convertibles and coupes like Austin A90 Atlantic, Chrysler Airflow, Standard Vanguard, Renault Gordini, and even a Goliath pick-up.
This museum has never been open to the public and has been visited exclusively by collectors and friends of the owner. When the latter died, his heirs could not make a decision on the museum and simply locked it up.
Yet, the teenagers breaking in resulted in the owners moving some cars to another place and even revive a Fiat 124 Sport Coupe. It has been auctioned for approximately EUR 10.000.
