Skoda Vision GT Is A Digital All-Electric Racecar
by AutoExpert | 21 September, 2022
If you're a Skoda fan, you're in for a treat from the carmaker. An all-digital take on the 1957 Skoda 1100 OHC, the Vision GT is a single-seater electric racer that has just been teased online. The body shape, dimensions, and color are all obvious nods to the 1100 OHC, yet the rest of the design is thoroughly contemporary with clean edges.
The new Skoda Vision GT's front fascia is accentuated by the car's thin LED headlights, splitter, and huge intakes. A tall hood and huge alloy wheels give it a powerful appearance, while a two-piece rear wing takes design cues from Formula E race cars.
Future-looking touches inside include a horizontally oriented screen that also serves as a windscreen and a flattened carbon steering wheel. Skoda didn't provide any information on the Vision GT's all-electric drivetrain, as this is only a concept design and will not lead to a real product. The Skoda Vision GT will be shown at the Brussels exhibition "Design and Transformation," honoring the Czech Republic's EU presidency (July 2022–December 2022).
