Polestar 2 MY25 Features More Miles, New Colors, And Enhanced Features

After introducing its 2 in 2020, Polestar has decided to start with a more subdued MY25 improvement program. Polestar added a new 70 kWh CATL battery to the Standard Range Single Motor model, increasing the WLTP distance between charges from 339 miles to 344 miles.
The Long Range Single Motor version now boasts an increased range of 410 miles on a single charge, an increase of 406 miles. Admittedly, there are not significant gains, but every mile matters in terms of EV range, and both variants of the 2 can go around 5% further on a single charge than the comparable Model 3.
Polestar has decided to update the 2 with a few new colors and new alloy wheel designs in sizes 19 and 20 inches, keeping the core design the same. Storm, a feature you might recognize from the Polestar 4, takes the place of Thunder in the 2 configurator, while Vapour, a light metallic, replaces Magnesium as the default paint finish. The Polestar 4 also features an updated option pack structure and a larger selection of options, which the company claims facilitates customer customization of their EVs.
The Pro Pack, which gives the seatbelts a Swedish gold stripe and more of the same color to the valve caps on the 20-inch wheels, is the most eye-catching. Polestar claims that the charcoal Nappa leather upholstery from upscale Scottish cow skinners Bridge of Weir comes only from animals that are treated well—right up until the moment they aren't.
The Climate Pack includes a heat pump, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and heating for the washer fluid nozzles. While the modified Polestar 2s are available now in Europe and Canada, additional markets—including the US—will get their vehicles later in 2024.
