PaxPower's Two-Door F-150 Raptor R: A Beastly Off-Road Transformation
by AutoExpert | 20 November, 2023
PaxPower has taken the already impressive Ford F-150 Raptor R and transformed it into a two-door off-road beast. This modified Raptor, which a customer in Saudi Arabia ordered, weighs 1,700 lbs less than the factory crew cab version and a whopping 2,500 lbs less than the Ram 1500 TRX!
Apart from the reduced weight, the two-door Raptor is approximately three feet shorter in overall length and wheelbase compared to its four-door counterpart.
The powerplant consists of a 5.0-liter V8 fitted with a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger, delivering a robust 775 hp, surpassing the stock F-150 Raptor R by around 70 hp. Anticipating an impressive 0–60 mph acceleration of 3.5 seconds, PaxPower attributes this to the substantial power output and the all-wheel-drive system.
It's worth mentioning that the shop utilized numerous Ford OEM parts, including the hood, fenders, grille, trim, flares, vents, and modified box sides to suit the shortened truck. Under the surface, the modified Raptor boasts extended control arms, internal bypass Fox Racing shocks, elongated axles and steering links, and various high-performance components.
The interior features OEM seat covers with enhanced bolstering, the Raptor's steering wheel with functional buttons, and paddle shifters. The two custom trucks commissioned for the Saudi Arabian customer are further adorned with bespoke steel bumpers, four massive six-inch LED lights, and Mustang-style stripes. Rolling on 17-inch Method Racing Wheels wrapped in 37-inch BFGoodrich K02 All-Terrain tires, these creations exude both style and capability. The tuner has also constructed a third example, designated as a shop truck and test vehicle.
