Nissan Skyline Nismo Debuts With 414 Horsepower
by AutoExpert | 8 August, 2023
Nissan has just expanded its lineup in Japan by releasing the Skyline Nismo. This beauty takes the standard Skyline and amps it up a level, generating 414 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. The power is only transmitted to the rear wheels via a smooth seven-speed automatic transmission.
If you are fortunate enough to obtain one, you will be a member of an exclusive club, as Nissan will only initially produce 1,000 units. They also have some additional goodies, with 100 of those units being the even more exclusive Skyline Nismo Limited models, which will be available later. The Nismo Limited variant will commemorate the S54A-1 model's 60th anniversary.
Performance enthusiasts will be thrilled to learn about the engine changes. All of the suspension, stabilizers, and brake systems have been fine-tuned for peak performance. The Nismo's Enkei 19-inch wheels are unique, and the 20 mm larger rear tires are meant to provide greater grip and stability while pushing the limits.
The exterior isn't simply a showpiece; it's also been meticulously designed for performance. There are lots of Nismo emblems to be found, and the grille has been modified to assist airflow and cooling. Oh, and don't forget the signature red stripes that go down the body, giving it that extra flair. The exterior is available in five different variations. The Nismo-exclusive Stealth Gray is likely to turn heads, but the more traditional White Pearl and Dark Metal Gray are also options.
Step inside, and you'll find a cabin inspired by the top-of-the-line 400R model. The tone is created by the dark interior, and the Nismo-branded Recaro sports seats, with black leather and a splash of red suede in the center, scream performance. Let us now discuss pricing. This Nissan Skyline Nismo beauty costs roughly $55,000 in Japan, so it's not exactly cheap, but for the performance and uniqueness you receive, it's definitely worth considering.
