Time flies when you're making history! Can you believe it's already been two decades since Bentley dominated the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans and crossed the finish line in first place? The 2003 season saw Bentley take on the iconic race in the prototype category with not one, but TWO Speed 8 cars.
Bentley absolutely crushed it, taking the top two spots with their powerful twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engines. Now, the carmaker is set to release a limited edition of only 48 stunning Continental GTs, specially designed to pay homage to the iconic Le Mans race.
Called "Le Mans Collection," it features aesthetic enhancements that include the valves of the engine that won the race. The engine's 24 valves have been halved and allocated to each car, with one valve being displayed on the dashboard in a compact manner. You can also see the unique serial number of the vehicle and the analog clock that has been converted to 24 hours. The six wreath badges representing Bentley's Le Mans victories are included on the sill plates and dashboard trim.
The exteriors of the automobiles are painted in a shade of green, and they include a white racing stripe over the hood. Bentley's Le Mans Collection offers both hardtops and convertibles, including the coupe and the Continental GTC. It's also fascinating to note that every car is adorned with a white number 7 on its grille, paying homage to the victorious Speed 8 from the 2003 race. In addition, Bentley Continental Le Mans Collection cars are equipped with unique 24-hour badges for straightforward recognition.
Unfortunately, Bentley has not provided any information regarding the pricing or release date of the Continental GT Le Mans Collection.
