December saw the best-ever sales for the new Outlander, Mitsubishi's best-selling vehicle in the United States. It accounted for 33.2% of the brand's overall volume last year. This is significant news, and Mitsubishi is attempting to capitalize on it by unveiling a stunning Outlander Black Edition.
The Outlander Black Edition, which is now available in the United States, is based on the SE grade and includes features such as a panoramic roof. The model's design enhancements, which are gloss black mirrors, dark badging, and glossy black bumper elements, make it stand out. Door knobs with black accents and black-finished 20-inch wheels complete the look. LED illumination, rain-sensing wipers, and a hands-free auto liftgate are all included.
The Black Edition has a black headliner and also black pillar trim, which are the only interior alterations. Customers will also discover a 7-inch display in the instrument cluster and a 9-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. On the driver's side, they're accompanied by a leather-wrapped steering wheel and synthetic leather and suede seats with eight-way adjustability.
A six-speaker sound system, a wireless phone charger, and seats for up to 7 people are also included. A keyless entry technology with a push-button start is also offered.
Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Forward Collision Mitigation with Pedestrian Detection are just some of the safety features provided. The Outlander Black Edition has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 181 horsepower (135 kW / 184 PS) and 181 lb-ft (245 Nm) of torque and begins at $29,995. This is mated to a variable gearbox that can be upgraded to an all-wheel-drive for an extra $1,800.
