Mercedes-Maybach GLS Edition 100 Ups The Ante On Luxury
by AutoExpert | 30 September, 2021
Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Edition 100 was unveiled yesterday, but it was far from the only new Maybach model. The carmaker also unveiled Mercedes-Maybach GLS Edition 100. The details for the SUV version weren't available straight first, but they are now.
However, none of those elements are particularly shocking. Mercedes-Maybach GLS Edition 100 was created to commemorate the same Maybach centennial anniversary as the S-Class, and it looks almost identical to the sedan. The number of cylinders under the bonnet is the only significant difference from the sedan. The S-Class gets the Mercedes' V12 engine, but the GLS keeps the V8.
Everything else, on the other hand, is nearly identical. The Designo Crystal White and Silver Grey Pearl two-tone paint scheme is carried over to the GLS Edition 100. The Maybach "Edition 100" insignia may be found on the GLS' D-pillar. On top of that, the emblem reappears on the striking forged grey wheels. For its inside, the GLS Edition 100 borrows design cues from the S-Class, including Crystal White and Silver Grey Pearl hides in two-toned patterns.
There is a specific case for keys and documents included with every Mercedes-Maybach GLS Edition 100 purchased. It's unclear how much these cars will cost when they arrive in dealerships in 2022, but Mercedes claims they'll be available for order in the fourth quarter of this year.
