Mercedes-Benz EQR Concept Is A Hyper Wagon With 1,200 HP

With little fanfare and a short lifespan, the Mercedes-Benz R was quickly phased out. However, this futuristic concept by Emre Husmen illustrates what an electric Mercedes wagon of the future may look like and takes cues from the unfortunate R.
The car's front end includes a fine mesh concave grille enclosed by tiny LED headlights, and the bonnet integrates a portion of the broad wheel arch. The EQR's most appealing angle must be its side profile. Tiny windows, hugely flared wheel arches, and side skirts characterize the low-slung vehicle.
The wheels feature a nice directional shape, and what appear to be carbon-ceramic brakes are hidden underneath them. The EQR has a large race-spec diffuser in the back, which may be a little excessive for everyday usage, as well as deep-seater cowls that accommodate the small brake lights.
The talented designer says: "I 3d-polygon modeled this project referencing a side view sketch in a total of 7-days, inspired from my old SLE project and the legendary R-Class; I re-imagined it as an electric hyper wagon which would have +1,200 hp output. The EQR AMG features a sleek exterior styling; a coupe-like front door and a suicide rear door with hypercar quality all carbon fiber body surfaces and aero adjustable front splitter & rear diffuser. Overall dimensions: 5m length, 2m width, 1,4m height with 24-inch wheels."
