McLaren GTS Takes Center Stage In The Supercar Arena
by AutoExpert | 19 December, 2023
Meet the McLaren GTS, the latest addition to the McLaren family, positioned to succeed the outgoing GT. This new "super-lightweight" supercar packs a punch with a focus on shedding weight and boosting power.
Powering the new McLaren GTS is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that cranks out 626 horsepower, a 14-hp increase compared to its predecessor. Weighing a mere 3,351 pounds, the GTS is 22 pounds lighter than the GT, promising an even more dynamic driving experience.
With rapid acceleration to 124 mph in 8.9 seconds and a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, it subtly outperforms the GT. If top speed is your goal, the new McLaren GTS can reach an impressive 203 mph. Beyond its power, the GTS features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with McLaren's Intelligent Adaptive Suspension for an optimal ride.
Adding to the car's practicality is the optional front axle lift system, which is more than twice as fast as its predecessor, taking just 4.0 seconds to fully raise or lower the nose. Personalization options are plentiful, offering choices like Lava Grey paint and distinctive GTS Turbine-forged alloy wheels.
Michael Leiters, CEO of McLaren Automotive, emphasizes that the GTS delivers an unmatched blend of driving dynamics, performance, and practicality. This supercar, staying true to McLaren's racing DNA, doesn't compromise on daily driving convenience. Interested buyers are able to order now, and deliveries are expected in 2024.
