Listen To A Stock Toyota GR Yaris Producing Nearly 500 HP On A Dyno

Toyota GR Yaris features one of the most ferocious production motors available on the market today in terms of horsepower per liter. It comes with a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-three engine that produces 268 hp out of the box.
Even with essentially factory internals, the engine appears to have a lot more to offer. Motive Garage and Powertune Australia decided to explore how far they could push the GR Yaris's little three-cylinder engine before ripping it apart and swapping out cams, pistons, rods, and modifying it all from the turbo to the MAF sensor and fueling unit.
New valve springs are the only mechanical changes made to the engine. On a hub dyno, the guys were able to get 473 horsepower to the wheels with everything turned up. The tuners haven't put the car through its paces at the drag strip yet, but it's expected to run the quarter-mile in under 10 seconds and hit 130 mph. To put it another way, it's the most potent GR Yaris in the world, isn't it?
