Lexus Unveils Hydrogen-Powered Recreational Vehicle Concept

Lexus has shown off a futuristic hydrogen-powered recreational car. As part of a live stream for the introduction of the new Lexus LX, Lexus Off-Highway Recreational Vehicle Concept was presented. Although the vehicle is hydrogen-powered, it does not make use of a conventional hydrogen fuel cell and electric engine.
Alternatively, a compressed hydrogen-powered internal combustion engine supplies power. A few months ago, Toyota began testing this technology in a bespoke Corolla race vehicle, which was fitted with the 1.6-liter turbo-three of the GR Yaris, but it had been converted to use hydrogen.
Exposed suspension components, an angular front end with LED headlamps, and a wide windscreen characterize the external appearance of the Off-Highway Recreational Vehicle Concept. The concept's surface is finished in rich matte bronze, and a light bar has been installed on the roof to provide ambient illumination. Off-road tires are mounted on dark and silvery wheels.
The engine and bright LED taillights are located at the back of the vehicle. This motor simply generates water, not dangerous pollutants like a typical internal combustion engine. Lexus does not refer to whether or not this hydrogen recreational vehicle will be sold, or whether it is only being showcased for the sake of innovation.
