They then released the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition. The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Chronograph Aston Martin F1 Edition is the Swiss watchmaker's latest cooperation with the British manufacturer.
Mike Krack, the principal of the Aston Martin F1 team, stated at the digital official launch that his team and the designers at G-P continually seek lighter and stronger options.
The watch has two accomplishments for Girard-Perregaux, an innovative composite material for the case and a highly daring strap. The 44-millimeter casing features the company's first application of a technology that combines carbon fiber and titanium powder.
These components were taken from two Formula One vehicles from the 2021 season. The substance is then combined with a colored resin to provide a green color. The finished product resembles forged carbon fiber in appearance.
Girard-Perregaux offers the dial of the Laureato Aston Martin F1 Edition design features inspired by the race vehicle. The dial is decorated with an eight-layer Racing Green cross-hatched motif. The sapphire crystal on the back of the watch, for the first time on a Laureato Absolute Chronograph, enables us to see the hand-finished mechanism.
