According to Cars Guide, buyers are enamored with the new 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser, which is so famous that it could take the company four years to meet the current need for some trim levels. The scarcity of chips is just making matters worse.
As of August 2, 20,000 orders were received for the 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser. According to Cars Guide, 90% of purchasers in Japan choose ZX and GR Sport trims, which take the longest to arrive.
Toyota will not be able to produce the 2022 Land Cruiser for most of August and September due to a shortage of components. Because of this, the model is no longer available in Japan. Australian dealers are just getting demo automobiles, and buyers aren't getting them until later on in the process.
Many reservations for 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser have been reported before. According to Toyota's August report, the desire for the first 12 months of manufacturing was already substantial enough. Those who wanted the new Land Cruiser had to wait for at least a year to receive it.
Sadly, the Land Cruiser will not be available in the United States, but the more luxurious Lexus LX, which will be based on the same chassis, will be available. In a statement, the manufacturer said it was postponing the launch of this model until 2022 because of chip scarcity.
