Ford Showcases 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition
by AutoExpert | 15 November, 2021
Recently, two special edition Mustangs have been unveiled by Ford. The 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition, which pays homage to the original 1967 Shelby GT500, is the most outstanding.
The model's exterior is a distinctive Brittany Blue with two separate Wimbledon White stripe variations, so there aren't many changes. The first includes painted racing stripes and a one-of-a-kind GT500 emblem, while the second has vinyl racing stripes and lateral stripes.
On November 15th, Ford will start taking orders for the 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500, with prices starting at $72,900 before a $1,195 destination tax and a $2,600 gas-guzzler charge. For an extra $2,140, the Heritage Edition can be purchased the same day. The hand-painted stripes will slow you down an additional $12,140.
Ford has confirmed the 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 will be available in Code Orange. In addition to the F-150 Raptor and the future Bronco Raptor, the hue is only available on Ford Performance cars.
Aside from the GT500, Ford also revealed the 2022 Mustang Coastal Edition. The exterior of the model, which is centered on the Mustang EcoBoost Premium hardtop and convertible, has been slightly changed, with a blackened grille, a rear spoiler, and distinctive side stripes. Side scoops and 19-inch aluminum wheels with black spots have also been added to the car.
The inside hasn't changed much, however, there are illuminated "Coastal Limited" sill plates on the doors. On the passenger side dash, they're accompanied by a distinctive insignia.
The Coastal Edition will be offered in only three colors: Brittany Blue, Cyber Orange, and Rapid Red, and will set you back an extra $1,995. Ford is currently taking orders for the car, which is expected to hit dealers next spring.
