For Open-Air Off-Roading Experience, Order A Jeep Gladiator With Half Doors
by AutoExpert | 20 August, 2021
At the 2021 Easter Jeep Safari in March, Jeep unveiled the tough Red Bare Gladiator Rubicon Concept. Jeep Gladiator was revealed for the first time with half doors, causing us to question when this option would be available on the production truck.
Jeep debuted half doors to the Wrangler earlier this year, and now Mopar Insiders has reported that Gladiators with half doors are being ordered by Jeep dealers for people who want the maximum open-air off-roading sensation.
Adding half doors increases visibility when driving off-road, which is another advantage of this modification. Power mirrors, blind-spot detection, passive and non-passive entry handle, and power locks are all available on Jeep's half doors.
It only takes a few minutes to convert large doors to half doors by using identical hinge positions and electrical connections. The plastic windows that zip in can easily be removed. To suit the original roof, the doors can be tone matched in regular vinyl or fine acrylic.
Base-model Gladiators must be equipped with a black Sunrider top and roll-up tonneau cover, or a Mopar tri-fold or soft tri-fold tonneau cover, to accommodate half doors. The Jeep Gladiator's Base Upper half-door package costs $4,590, which is $595 more costly than a four-door Wrangler with the identical half-door kit.
