First Look At The Eagerly Awaited 2022 BMW X3 M40i
by AutoExpert | 5 October, 2021
In June, BMW X3 and X4 models received updates, but only photos of the 30i trim level were seen at the point. In South Africa, where the X3 is also built, the revised model recently made its premiere. The 2022 BMW X3 M40i's headlights are 0.4 inches thinner, and the kidney grilles are bigger.
The rear taillights have been modified, and the exhaust has been given a sharper look. The M Sport Packages are available as an add-on for the 30i vehicles. Updates like this will help the X3 compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLC when it goes on sale later this year.
2022 BMW X3 M40i has a 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine. It's a shame that BMW didn't have any shots of the M40i to publish at the moment, but due to BMW South Africa, we already have some.
The M40i, along with the X3 M, is our favorite model in the lineup. The M Sports Package, which comes standard, further enhances the vehicle's professional appearance. Included in this package is a high-gloss black front apron with bigger air inlets and a Dark Shadow rear bumper with a diffuser. The side mirrors are also shared with the X3 M.
M sport brakes with blue or red brake calipers are included, as are double-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels. BMW offers an M steering wheel as standard features inside as well. The M Sport Suspension is also basic underneath.
2022 BMW X3 M40i is priced at $57,800 and the X3 M is priced at $69,900. BMW promises that the M40i will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 secs, while the X3 M will do it in 3.9 secs. The ordinary person will not notice the difference, and the M40i's ride is far superior.
