Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Is Back For 2023 With 710 Horsepower
by AutoExpert | 16 August, 2022
Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat was originally unveiled for the 2021 model year, but for whatever reason, the automaker only decided to build the vehicle for that one year. Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat returns for the 2023 model year in response to consumer demand.
The new 2023 Durango SRT Hellcat is powered by the company's 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8, which makes 710 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque.
The Durango SRT Hellcat has a peak speed of 180 mph and can reach 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. It also has an impressive quarter-mile time of 11.5 seconds. As was the case with the 2021 model, the 2023 Durango SRT Hellcat is visually and aerodynamically different from less powerful models.
A reworked front fascia with a lip splitter, a snorkel for the cold-air intake, and a rear spoiler that generates 140 pounds of downforce at peak speed are among the most noticeable modifications. In addition, Dodge has fitted the Durango with a Launch Control system and a Launch Assist system that employ wheel speed sensors to monitor for wheel hop during launch and regulate motor torque for maximum traction.
The Plus and Premium packages will be offered as options for the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. The Plus includes Laguna leather seats, the trailer tow group, a motorized sunroof, and several adaptive and sophisticated safety technologies.
Red seat belts, a leather-wrapped instrument panel, carbon fiber interior highlights, and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system are all part of the Premium option, which is an upgrade above the Plus. The first dealer deliveries of the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat are scheduled for early 2023.
