DB Schenker Has Placed An Order For 1,470 All-Electric Volta Zero Trucks

DB Schenker, a transportation company, has placed the largest pre-order for electric trucks in Europe, comprising 1,470 Volta Zero trucks.
DB Schenker employs over 74,200 individuals at over 2,100 facilities from over 130 countries, making it one of the world's largest logistics companies and the European land transport leader. Starting in the spring and summer of 2022, the business will be the first to employ Volta Zero prototypes in real-world situations.
The results of the testing will subsequently be implemented into the 1,470 automobiles' serial manufacturing. These will be utilized at 10 different places across 5 different countries.
Volta Zero is a completely electric 16-tonne truck with a range of 150-200 km (95-125 miles) that was unveiled in concept form in 2019 and will be available in production form in 2021. The first Volta Zero deliveries are scheduled for mid-2022. Volta Trucks is situated in Stockholm, Sweden, with an engineering department in the United Kingdom and manufacturing facilities in Steyr, Austria.
