Chevy Silverado ZL1 Can Compete And Win Over The Raptor And TRX
by AutoExpert | 11 May, 2021
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 could freely compete against off-roaders like Ford’s Raptor or Dodge’s TRX. But there a rumor amongst the off what if GM could impregnate the styling cues and performance of a Camaro ZL1 and input them to the Silverado? As you see in the photos, the result is a much sharper styling and a big engine if Chevrolet would keep under the hood a supercharged V8.
The bonus to all these additions would also be an aggressive skid plate, raised suspension, and chunkier off-road tires. GM even fitted some tow hooks for inextricably stuck situations, a beasty side-exit exhaust for less chance of damage, and a roll bar with LED lighting for those late-night off-road excursions. Instantly you can spot the hood of the Camaro ZL1along with a mesh grille and black Bowtie badges.
For some visual contrasting GM put decals to sustain the truck’s menace. The engine would power the car via an automatic transmission, with the four-wheel-drive system, locking differentials, and loads of suspension travel thanks to upgraded shocks and springs.
We already know that the Camaro ZL1 is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 delivering 650 horsepower and 880 Newton-meters of torque. Though previous ZL1 versions of Chevy's delivered less power they still were being better to drive and weighing much less.
So, what everyone wants to see now is a Baja-inspired truck that could deliver better performance numbers higher than the above-mentioned competitors would be left behind in the drag race. Would you buy it?
