The Ram 1500 REV was initially unveiled in February 2023, however, information on the specifics of this electric pickup was scant at the time. In any case, the manufacturer has just revealed new details about the car, like its outstanding maximum range of 500 miles.
Each axle of the 2025 Ram 1500 is equipped with a 250-kilowatt electric drive module. The motor, transmission, and inverter are all built into these modules. In some situations, efficiency can be increased by disengaging the front module and letting the wheels spin freely. An electronic differential lock is built into the module on the back.
The Ram 1500 REV comes with a choice between two battery types. The first kind is the regular battery, which has a range of around 350 miles and a capacity of 168 kilowatt-hours. Optionally, a battery with a capacity of 229 kilowatt-hours may be installed, bringing the range up to an estimated 500 miles.
The vehicle is able to charge at speeds of up to 350 kilowatts using 800-volt DC fast charging. In other words, it can get almost 110 miles of range back in only 10 minutes. The 2025 Ram 1500 also features a bidirectional charging system that allows for charging from vehicle to vehicle, vehicle to house, and vehicle to the grid.
Also good news is that the new 2025 Ram 1500 is available in five distinct trim levels, each with its own set of perks: the Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Limited, and Tungsten. The top-tier Tungsten model comes with features including a 23-speaker Klipsch sound system, a motorized tailgate, a suede headliner, and metallic cabin accents. In addition, a hands-free driving assistance system will be offered as an extra.
