2022 Radical SR3 XX And SR10 Will Be Available With Extra Halo And Some Other Updates
by AutoExpert | 6 December, 2021
The SR3 XX and SR10 track-only versions from the UK-based Radical have been given several enhancements for the 2022 model year, with order books now open. The installation of an extra halo over the cabin, which increases driver safety, is the most significant improvement.
The F1-inspired black metal construction meets FIA regulations and secures both the driver and co-driver in the event of an accident while maintaining the open-air atmosphere on the track.
Fresh lightweight cast aluminum or billet uprights for improved durability, as well as suspension adjustments and new camber shims for simpler geometry configuration, have been applied to both vehicles. In addition, the steering column has been elevated to improve visibility and practicality.
Furthermore, there are options for power steering, a broader driver's seat, and a supplementary dashboard display.
The SR10 also gets a bigger brake package with improved disc and pad compounds as standard, as well as a motor remap for the turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost motor, which is the fastest-selling Radical with 80 sales since its launch earlier this year.
As a consequence, the vehicle stops faster and speeds from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 km/h) in 2.4 seconds. Radical's 31 dealers in 21 countries are already taking orders for the upgraded SR10 and SR3 XX, with the first deliveries scheduled early in 2022.
