2021 Hyundai Bayon Small Crossover Teaser
by AutoExpert | 26 February, 2021
Hyundai is eager to share earlier their new 2021 Hyundai Bayon Crossover with a combustion engine. Any of the Korean Auto company's released teaser, the latest shows small details. But we can surely state that this one will be a new entry-level CUV (a sport utility vehicle built on a car chassis, or a crossover) below the Kona. The 2021 Hyundai Bayon will serve as a Euro correspondent of the Venue sold in the U.S.
This sub-Kona model isn’t a surprise since a pint-sized crossover was promised for European customers two years ago. Now there will be competitors from Ford, Fiat, and Dacia. The Hyundai Bayon promises the same quirky styling, split headlights, and vertical taillights with a typical boomerang-shaped signature. Also, the 2021 Bayon is riding on the same platform as the i20 model.
The car will be powered by a three-cylinder turbo-powered engine that delivers up to 118 hp, or a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter engine with 83 hp for the supermini variant. The gearbox depends on the engine and would include a five and a six-speed manual with a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission for its turbo three-spot.
The 2021 Hyundai Bayon Crossover will have its official debut on March 2 and will be ready for sale in Europe in the first half of this year.
